It’s always something isn’t it? Eagles’ STARTING quarterback Sam Bradford is upset because the Eagles’ front office decided to trade up to the No. 2 pick in order to draft another quarterback. Now obviously as the starting quarterback of a professional football team, that isn’t exactly something that you want to hear. It is also completely understandable to be upset. But C’mon. Suck it up and do your job. You are still the confirmed starter for the 2016-2017 season so what is the big deal? It comes off as very childish and weak. The guy had made over 100 million during his career and has ZERO playoff appearances and wins. Before you start complaining about what you’re entitled to, you need to be a proven commodity and have some accomplishments under your belt. Bradford has neither, so his position at quarterback should be as much up for grabs as any other position on the field. ESPN insider Adam Schefter was quoted saying that Bradford “is mad and wants to show everyone who’s best”. Well, good. That’s the way it should be. Go out and compete to let everyone know who is the better quarterback. But if you’re going to start requesting trades just because you feel some kind of threat from a rookie, then I say good riddance. Personally, I would love to see Bradford leave Philadelphia. Sure, he’s talented, has a great arm, and can make difficult throws look routine and easy, but will he win us a Superbowl? The answer to that question is no, and it always has been. So what’s the point? Maybe the Eagles are better off auctioning Bradford around the league in order to try to get a useful player or draft pick in return. Maybe they are better off starting Chase Daniel for a few games until whichever quarterback drafted is ready to take over. We’ll see what happens. Either way, the Eagles definitely do not need another player whining and complaining in the locker room all year. If Bradford really doesn’t want to play in this great city of Philadelphia, then adios amigo. We don’t want your fragile body back behind center anyway.
